At Grace-Calvary, the back of each Sunday bulletin lists the staff. At the top of the list we see “Ministers: All the people of Grace-Calvary.” Ministering to each other and to the larger community is a way of life here.

Many people serve at each worship service, and new people to help are always welcome. The Worship Committee, email: email@example.com plans the services, and the Music Director organizes the music to enhance each Sunday’s plan. We have a choir that sings at the 9:15 a.m. service (which you’re welcome to join, firstname.lastname@example.org. The Flower Guild provides the flowers at each side of the altar, Anne Short and Kay Brown invite you to join this guild. The Altar Guilds, email@example.com take turns preparing the altar each week, and the Bread Guild, firstname.lastname@example.org bakes the communion bread for each week.
Truly, liturgy is “the work of the people.” We invite your participation “behind the scenes” in whatever way you feel called to help.

Lay Pastoral Care
This committee ministers to members of the congregation who need prayers and practical help. We provide meals, rides for doctor’s visits, and an amazing variety of services. We send notes and cards when appropriate. We remember older members who are homebound or in nursing homes, by encouraging cards and visits.
We also keep the Prayers of the People up-to-date. This is the list of people for whom the congregation prays at the Sunday and Wednesday worship services. To add a name to this list, email the parish office or fill out a request card in the pew.
We meet at 10 a.m. on the last Tuesday of the month in the Parish House Family Room. All are welcome to come join in our work. If you’d like to volunteer giving an occasional ride or delivering a meal, please contact Heather Murray. And by all means, if you need practical assistance of any kind, ask.
